Mini's Training Times

Our minis train primarily every Saturday morning as noted below. Please refer to the Youth Age Grades Page for information about the appropriate age grade for your child. If your child is interested in playing and wants to come and Give It A Try they are welcome to come along to one of our training sessions. The club uses Spond to confirm training times and/or matches which are often subject to change due to weather, matches, etc. 

To join the group you need to download the Spond App, create an account and enter the Group Code > SDQGM

Mini's

The Minis participate in regular “blitz” tournaments both at home and away with clubs in Connacht during the season.

Equipment

Gum shields are compulsory for all ages. No player is allowed to train or play without a properly fitting gum shield. 

Training: Sports wear (Shorts, socks, jersey, training top) of any colour, boots.

Matches: Complete club strip - black shorts, red and black socks, red and black jersey, red/black training top, boots.

Membership

All players must be registered. Membership can be completed on the membership page.

New players can give rugby a try for a few weeks before joining.​

Mini's Age Grades

Mini's rugby age grades are set by the IRFU. No player can play below their age. We only allow players to join squads above their age grade in special circumstances.

Code of Conduct

The IRFU provides codes of conduct for players, coaches, parents, spectators and referees. 

Player Welfare

The welfare of our players, coaches, managers and supporters is of the utmost importance to Monivea RFC.
